Has the following ever happened to you?
- Struggled to keep up with your mates.
- Didn't feel confident going round a bend.
- Didn't feel confident in the wet.
- Had a near miss, and you don't know why.
- Drifted wide, slid or locked up on a bend.
If it has, why not book in for a course of training from a couple of hours
to a couple of days.
(Normally Sundays).
Ride some of the best roads in Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex while being taught Advanced Riding Techniques with a highly qualified & experienced Instructor.
Training will always be on a 1-2-1 basis unless you wish to train with a friend of similar ability which will attract a 25% discount per student.
All instruction will be given by a IAM, RoSPA Gold Rider, Diploma holder and DSA RPMT with 25 years instructional and motorcycle experience using top of the range radios. Advanced training will not only make you a safer rider, but should increase your average speed, reduce wear & tear on your bike, improve your MPG and you will arrive at your destination feeling less fatigued.
Training is will be 95% practical with most tuition taking place on the open road.
You will be taught The Police Roadcraft System which is widely accepted as the best known system in the world and is used by both RoSPA & the IAM. Prior to your training it is advisable to read "Roadcraft" although this will be taught during training.
An assessment of your riding will take place at the start of your training, don't worry - it's not a test! but it is essential to allow the course to be tailored your own individual needs.
For ERS no test needs to be taken, its a continual assesment. If your initial standard is excellent you could receive your ERS Certificate and the end of one session. If there are any week points these will be worked on until the standard is met in all areas.
During training you will be taught the Roadcraft System and how to apply it, this will include: how to read bends including the correct speed and position, throttle and brake control, advanced & linked observation, anticipation & defensive riding techniques, overtaking, wet weather riding etc. Although the courses will be hard work and very tiring both mentally and physically it will be equally rewarding and will allow you to enjoy your motorcycling much more in the future.
